I’m Shelly and Declaration of Style is my blog. This is my personal manifesto to fashion, family, business, and all things beautiful.

I suppose this is the part where I tell you all about myself and elaborate on all the things that make me wonderful. Well, I certainly do not mind doing so but I will do it in a list because the one thing that I love more than fashion and writing is making lists.

*I have always had a love for fashion in the societal, cultural and economic contexts as well as for the beautiful designs and styling.

*If I could live anywhere in the world it would be Paris, France.

*I want to learn to speak French and Spanish because I intend to travel to a place where these languages are spoken soon. I plan to learn French in the near future because I may live there someday.

*My style icon is Diana Ross.

*I believe that writing and fashion= self-expression.

*My favorite book is Woman at Point Zero. Nawal El Saadawi is my hero.

*I love the color blue in every shade. It reminds me of the ocean.

*My greatest source of happiness and pleasure are my two little boys.

*I like to share personal and professional insights from my fashion, life, family, running a business, etc.

*I have a thing for stationary and organizing too.

*These are some of my favorite blogs The Style Sample, CoCo and Creme, The Dumpy Duchess, and Because I’m Addicted…I get a lot of inspiration from these blogs for my posts.

*I wish that I have more hours in a day to complete the hundreds of tasks laid before me everyday. Regardless, I have been blessed to be able to accomplish so much and still enjoy the things in life that truly make me happy like family and our cherished moments.
